About Grand Rapids Coffee Roasters
The Huehuetenango region is located on the pacific slopes in southwest Guatemala. This region is known to be one of the best coffee growing regions in all of Guatemala. It’s a large, strictly hard bean (SHB) coffee that is grown in limestone and volcanic soil at an altitude between 5,000 – 6,300 feet above sea level. The coffee is all hand-picked and prepared using the wet method and sun dried outside on cement patios. Its flavor is full bodied, velvety smooth with a touch of acidity and a clean finish. It displays caramel-vanilla sweetness, nutty notes and a smoky aroma.
