About Us

Hi There! We are the Schierbeeks. Pierre, Sharon, Kari and husband Tom, David, Hannah, and Adam. We live on our grandparents farm about 8 miles East of Cadillac. Over the years (32) we have raised a variety of meats, but have truly settled into raising sheep about 10 years ago. We have recently added goats to our flock. We love what we do, we love how we do it, and we love having you for our customers! Thank you!

Ingredients We Use

The ingredients that we use in producing our lamb and goat meat are simple. God's blessings first, then sunshine, rain, fresh green grass pastures and a real desire to produce a meat that you enjoy cooking and eating!

Our Practices

We produce a 'clean' meat. We raise all of our Suffolk/Polypay lambs and our Boer goats as naturally as possible. We do not use any antibiotics, chemicals, supplements, or hormones in their feed nor do we put any chemicals etc on our farm land/pastures. We graze our flock from spring to late fall on lush green grass along with giving them a small amount of cracked corn. In the winter, they are fed hay that has been harvested from our farm so we know what is in it and where their feed has come from.

Highlights

We supply meat markets in the Grand Rapids area with our lamb and goat and we also sell on Friday and Saturday at the Fulton Street Farmers Market. You are welcome to call and visit the farm whenever you want.

Misc.

All our lamb is processed at an approved USDA facility and we are licensed thru the Dept. of Agriculture to sell our product.
