Thanks for your interest in the West Michigan Co-op, an online farmers market, essentially, that links local consumers with local producers all year along.
If you sign up, you'll recieve a two-month trial membership. Beyond that, our annual user fee is $35, a charge that will appear on your invoice and is payable within two months after you join. This fee gives you shopping privileges for a year. For those who REALLY want to support and help the co-op, we offer a $100 one-time membership fee that will get you permanant voting privileges. (After a year, however, the $35 annual fee to be able to shop kicks in.)
Basically it's a once-a-month shopping cycle. Shopping begins on the first Saturday of each month at 9 a.m. and runs through midnight of the following Friday. You make your orders online and pay by check or cash when you pick up the order a week later. From May-November, Pickup Day is the third Wednesday of each month between 5:15 and 7:30 p.m. From December-April, it is the third Saturday of the month from 1:30-4 p.m.
The pickup point is in a renovated warehouse space at 1111 Godfrey (take Hall exit off 131 to corner of Hall and Godfrey--note: it's a block-long warehouse building, but we're at the EXACT corner of Hall and Godfrey).
Also, one thing to be prepared for is that the prices of the products sold through the WMC are going to be generally higher than what you'll find in the store. Which is the point of all of this -- the true cost of our food is hidden so that we can have cheap food that comes from all corners of the world (except from our own backyard!), but in reality we pay for it in other ways -- environmental degradation, health problems and failing rural economies, to name a few.

FYI--We also need volunteers!
