Solstice Farms carries on the family tradition of Nyblad Orchards. Our farms are located North of Grand Rapids in Kent City, Grant, Newaygo, and Old Mission Peninsula, Traverse City. Our family has been raising tree fruit commercially since 1912. Solstice Farms main focus is growing apples from the early to late season varieties. As a diversified third generation family business we also offer Old Mission Peninsula sweet and tart cherries. Solstice Farms provides the freshest quality fruit to the public with the greatest health benefits.

Our Practices

Our focus of attracting and maintaining a population of beneficial insects as well as a program of pest control allows us to manage our orchards with minimum pesticide spray. Outside scouts not associated with chemical companies monitor our orchards on an on going basis.
