About Us

Kayam Farm Kitchen produces baked goods using local (whenever possible) and organic ingredients! We are dedicated to providing real healthy options for the whole family while supporting the local economy.

As a mother, I found it nearly impossible to find snacks and breads for my kids’ lunches that were made from wholesome ingredients with no additives, chemicals, or preservatives. So, I began making my own goods using ingredients produced here in Michigan. Other moms began asking me to make items for them as well, so I decided to begin making these options available to the general public.

Ingredients We Use

We are committed to using organic ingredients grown and produced in our local community. All of the grains we use are organic and Michigan grown and milled. We also use locally produced dairy products, eggs, and meats in our items. To sweeten our products we use organic evaporated cane juice or local raw honey. We are very careful to select only producers that meet our expectations of responsible, humane, and environmentally sound farming practices. In doing so we pass a product on to you that you can be proud to serve to yourself and your family.

The oatmeal breakfast cookies are a wonderful choice for healthy kids’ snacks! These cookies taste great and we snuck in some really healthy things too - like flax, whole grain wheat, oats, and real organic butter. We also use only organic evaporated cane juice to sweeten these delightful treats.

The quiche is made from local organic free range eggs. The color of the quiche becomes brighter and brighter as the seasons change and the happy hens find healthy snacks in their pastures. These are made with organic cheeses, vegetables, or meats, and herbs grown right here on Kayam Farm. The delicate crust is made from organic spelt grown and milled in Michigan.

Kayam Farm Bread is a whole grain and flax bread lightly sweetened with local honey and a touch of molasses. The bread is hand kneaded and allowed to rise slowly creating a truly artisan bread. These two pound loaves have a dense texture and a chewy crumb and provide great sliced bread for sandwiches, toast, or whatever else you can imagine!

Our Practices

All items made at Kayam Farm Kitchen are hand crafted with utmost care and attention to detail. Each recipe is made up of only whole foods with no influence from the industry of ‘food science.’ It is our desire to provide only the most wholesome and delightful foods made with locally produced ingredients. Crusts are hand rolled, dough is hand kneaded, and ingredients are hand measured to create a unique eating experience.
